Human ambition has been straightforward for thousands of years.

Monument building is a basic human activity.
As civilisations grow wealthier, the leaders build large monuments.
The large monuments are to demonstrate the leaders power, to himself
(they are men), to his people, and to his enemies.
And like fruit on tree, the way to make a civilisation produce large and
beautiful monuments, is to put it under immense stress and pressure.
Resource shortages, threat of invasion seem to create these monuments as
if the civilisations knew they were about to die.
Unfortunately, the largest monuments are the last monuments a
civilisation builds before collapsing.
Its as if the king is a condemned prisoner and says, since I am going to
die anyway, I don't have to worry about the future, so I will use all my
resources to realize my dream - which is to build the biggest monument
the world has ever seens.

(There's an italian ".it" lua app that proxies webmail to pop3 or imap

Write a love letter email counting the ways you love them and address it
to your sweetheart
The email is then split into "N - 1" columns where N is the number mail
accounts configured
The last column is used to store the raid-5 algorithm derived content
such that if one email service fails the email can be recreated

Needs - 2 leopard macs
Recipe -
1. Get 1 mac connected to a big screen - broadcaster
2. Turn ichat on
3. Get 1 mac for presenter and plug headset into that mac and test it
via ichat - presenter
4. From the broadcaster mac check bonjour to see presenter mac and share
the screen to the presenter
5. Now the presenter can control the broadcaster machine that everyone
sees on the big screen - AND their voice is being amplified through the
big screen

- get in your car alone
- turn on car
- turn on ipod
- play songs through ipod loud
- turn up bass so you can the music vibrates your heart
- drive
- park at work and wait in the car until the windows are misty with
condensation [sic]
- imagine you are free and no longer have to sell yourself to feed your
dreams and children
