YOU: thanksgiving searcher. thanksgiving 2008 what if the sun was my father and the heat from his body made solar winds so powerful that he protected me from radiation allowing me to be alive what if the sun was my father and the light from his body fed my planet which fed me allowing me to be alive what if the ocean was my mother and i missed her so much my mother made an ocean in her belly for me to be born allowing me to be alive what if the ocean was my mother so that when my heart breaks she is with me, running down my cheeks in salty streaks reminding me that i am alive what if the ocean was my mother and she kept me warm when my father the sun was away and she kept me cool when my father the sun made it too hot allowing me to be alive what if the ocean was my mother and she gave me everything i asked for she gives food and clothing allowing me to be alive what if the trees were my aunts and uncles giving me shelter when i needed it feeding me when i was hungry protecting me when i was in danger allowing me to be alive what if the trees were my aunts and uncles breathing in carbon dioxide changing it into oxygen allowing me to be alive what if it was all true true in every way that ever mattered then i would need to give thanks to them for allowing me to be alive wouldn’t i? wouldn’t i need to thank the sun? wouldn’t i need to thank the ocean? wouldn’t i need to thank the trees? how should i thank the sun? should i set fire to the last hours of ancient sunshine? should i fill the sky with smoke to obscure the sun? how should i thank the ocean? should i fill her with plastic refuse? should i inject her with fertilizers creating anoxic dead zones larger than the state of texas? how should i thank the trees? should i chop them all down? no thank you i will keep thanking the sun, the ocean and the trees all the days of my life until every memory of me is gone thanksgiving copyright 2008 jpaul written by joshua paul animated by joshua paul produced by joshua paul music “thanksgiving 2008” performed by joshua paul written by joshua paul copyright 2008 joshua paul all rights reserved performed by the be good tanyas written by page/plant/jones/bonham copyright 2007 joshua paul all rights reserved return to joshua paul"/>

how the economy works
HANNA, JOSH AND JEANNIE
2.imagine for some reason hanna has all the money and the other two dont
have any money
3.imagine for some reason that of the two people who don't have money,
that both of them want money
4. IMAGINE THAT FOR SOME REASON ONE OF THE TWO PEOPLE ALWAYS WANTS TO
EARN A PROFIT AND KEEP SOME OF THE MONEY THEY TOUCH
5. imagine that the other one can't figure out how to keep any money
play the game like this
1. give 4 sticks to "hanna"
2. put a bucket of sticks far away from "jeannie"
3. now ask all of them if they want more money - listen to each persons
answer
4. now ask "hanna" to ask "josh" if "josh" wants a dollar
5. now ask "josh" to say yes i want a dollar
6. now ask "hanna" to ask "josh" to give the 4 sticks to "jeannie" on
the condition the "jeannie" gives "josh" 6 sticks back when "hanna" ask
"josh" to ask "jeannie"
7. now ask "josh" to ask "jeannie" if she wants 4 sticks
8. now ask "jeannie" to say yes
9. now ask "josh" to hand the sticks to "jeannie" and you can have them
you put pay me back 6 when i ask
10. now ask "jeannie" to take the sticks
11. now ask "jeannie" to play with the sticks
12. now ask "hanna" to ask "josh" for the sticks back
13. now ask "josh" to ask "jeannie" for the sticks
14. now ask "jeannie" to give 4 sticks to "josh"
15. now ask "josh" to ask jeannie for 2 more sticks
16. now ask "jeannie" to get up and look around for sticks
17. now ask "jeannie" to find the bucket of sticks and take 2
18. now ask "jeannie" to give the sticks the "josh"
19. now ask "josh" to give 5 sticks to "hanna"
the moral is - jeannie still has nothing, josh has 1, and hanna now has
five BUT at 1 time jeannie had all the sticks, and at another time josh
had all the money
6. NOW IMAGINE THAT OUT OF 1000 PEOPLE, 1 OF THEM IS HANNA, 11 OF THEM
ARE JOSH, 989 OF THEM ARE JEANNIE
7. BUT SOME HOW hanna is able to keep getting josh to get jeannie to
give josh the money to give to hanna

priests of civilization collapse
2. the pension priests of wall street that demanded ever greater percentages of the economy to protect retirement incomes
how is knowledge power?
so i know that:
1. past civilizations collapse when they exceed their environments
2. past civilizations "priests" demand ever larger sacrifices to bring back past successes
3. the larger sacrifices require increased environmental demands from already weakened ecosystems
4. the weakened ecosystems and the civilizations eating them, have weakened immune systems and are more vulnerable to infection
