We are made of stars
We survived the big bang
We survived the earths birth
We survived the asteroids and the comets
We survived the volcanoes and the earthquakes
We survived the anerobic environment
We survived in the oceans
We survived the move to the land
We survived africa
We survived the ice age and the stone age
We survived agriculture and the bronze age
We survived population booms and busts

We perfected hunting until there was nothing left to hunt
Then we moved and the earth got warmer
And we perfected agriculture until the soil was exhausted and salt
poisoned
Then we moved and we found petroleum
And now we are perfecting coal and oil
If we exhaust that resource and release the stored co2 where will we
move next?

Why won't the strategies that kept us alive for 2.8 million years keep
us alive for another 2.8 million?

Global warming we have survived before, and ice ages too.

So why are the thing we do today killing and poisoning our children in
ways that killing and poisoning our children in the past aren't the
same?

Exposure to toxins that never existed before.
There was lead before. And there was mercury.
But now we more in scale, in kind, and in scope.
We have co2 in atmosphere, hole in ozone, pcbs, ddt, napthalates, and
radioactivity.

Our evolution hasn't prepared us or the plants, fungi and animals we
depend to cope with that.

So I know my name is not Joshua, but Thomas, or Judas, or am I Paul
after all.

When I read Jesus saying not to worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow
will look after itself, the toxically or radioactively mutated make
me doubt it. But who am I not to have faith. Are we not already the
result of cataclysmic events?

And I also have been confused about Matthew 25-26, and what I thought
meant that God provides for us, which made me concerned about the many
mass extinctions in the earths past. How were the dinosaurs provided
for, aren't they as valuable as sparrows? But the message is different.
The message is worry won't add an hour to your life.

After so long its hard to move on from this story.

But without falsifiable proof what is a human to think?

Its an ineffable creator that gives humankind faculties that can't
locate God's existence.

All our senses are blind to God?
