Stuck in traffic waiting and a green light to turn left and intersection

On either side of me cars pass left and right
I'm stuck
unable to turn
or go forward
or go back
waiting for a break in traffic

and all around me everything is moving like a river
and I am a stone parting the water
parting the traffic around me
