In front of myself I stand behind pulling and pushing

In front of myself I stand behind pulling and pushing

A paladdin?
A templar
I see myself
Geeky as ever
Clogs, shorts, dress shirt, phone on left hip, oqo on the right
I am standing in front of burning city
A flaming sword in my left hand
Sworn to poverty
Protecting the pilgrims on their to the holy land

I can hear the songs the bands are playing
I am so glad you are in the world
Roxanne
Everybody wants to rule world
And the walls came tumbling down (joshua fit the battle)

Folding space and time
I see the
Male and female
Egg and sperm
Wave and particle
Electron and proton
Universe and life

I have 30 seconds
In those 30 seconds
Horror
Fear
Passion
Death
Reconciliation
Salvation
Punishment
Betrayal
And all the deadly sins
Before the end of the world

So I met you - 4 syllables

The emptyness.
The fullness.

Your naked body, my naked body, lying on the tile floor for the security
cameras to see. The psilocybin whiskey and cigarettes we'd bought from
the vending machine are on your breathe as you exhale.

Inhale. Your chest rises and falls.

I am both bitter and content. 4 million years of evolution for this?
Fucking on the spotless kitchen floor of a closed fast food restaurant?

Helpless to the fire burning inside me to plant my flower inside you.

I don't like to feel used - whether its good for me or my species or
not.

Rumplestiltskin moderne v4

Once upon a time, maybe 50 years in the future, a beautiful girl named
ariadne lived with her father, the fish mealer, in an underwater city.

Before ariadne had been born, an old fortune teller had knocked on the
door of her mother and father's sleep pod begging to read fortunes for a
place to stay. She read her cards and had told ariadne's mother that she
would have daughter. She gave her mother an precious wood pendant on a
string necklace and said she would return one day with its pair.

Her mother got sick and died during the war of independance. The
torpedoes that hit broke buildings and made lots of people sick and
poisoned the air and water. Many people died, but not her or her
father.

When ariadne was 8 yrs old, A young man came holding the pair of the
wooden necklace, to ask to be an apprentice. A relative of the old lady,
the boy came to work making fish meal to feed his family. Everyday he
taught her how to sing, dance, play music. So as she worked making fish
meal she sang and dance, and put her heart into grinding her fish that
made her everyday more beautiful.

Slowly her fish meal became famous for being so evenly ground, so finely
ground, and so pure that one day the city's owner heard about it.

A few things you should know about kings that people rarely tell you. A
kings job is fighting and killing and doing whatever it takes to protect
his kingdom from being taken by other kings, and at the same time trying
take kingdoms away from other kings. All this fighting and killing is
terribly expensive and so the king is always looking for gold to pay for
fighting.

One thing you should know about this king was that his name was othello,
and yes you guessed it, his lieutenants name was iago. But king othello
was unmarried and when he was fighting or raising money to fight, he was
looking for women worthy of his droit de seigneur.

So when the miller heard the king was interested in the famous flower
flour, he became afraid that his daughter would refuse the king, and the
king would have her jailed or killed.

Knowing the kings greed for gold might distract him his daughters.

Once upon a time, maybe 25 years in the future, a beautiful girl named
ariadne lived with her father in an abandoned apartment building they
had converted into a windmill.

Before she had been born, an old fortune teller had knocked on the door
begging to read fortunes. She read her cards and had told her mother

that fell broke buildings, tore up road and made lots of people sick and
poisoned the air and water. Many people died, but not her or her

A boy came holding the pair of the wooden necklace. A relative of the
old lady, the boy came to work in the mill to feed his family. Everyday
he taught her how to sing, dance, play music and tell stories. So as she

Quote to say to those Italian World Cup Winners from True Romance by Quentin Taratino

CLIFF
You know I read a lot. Especially things that have to do with history.
I find
that shit fascinating. In fact, I don’t know if you know this or not,
Sicilians
were spawned by niggers.

All the men stop what they were doing and look at Cliff, except for
Tooth-pic
Vic who doesn’t speak English and so isn’t insulted. Coccotti
can’t believe what
he’s hearing.

COCCOTTI
Come again?

CLIFF
It’s a fact. Sicilians have nigger blood pumpin’ through their
hearts. If you
don’t believe me, look it up. You see, hundreds and hundreds of years
ago
the Moors conquered Sicily. And Moors are niggers. Way back then,
Sicilians were like the wops in northern Italy. Blond hair, blue eyes.
But,
once the Moors moved in there, they changed the whole country. They did
so much fuckin’ with the Sicilian women, they changed the blood-line
for
ever, from blond hair and blue eyes to black hair and dark skin. I find
it
absolutely amazing to think that to this day, hundreds of years later,
Sicilians still carry that nigger gene. I’m just quotin’ history.
It’s a fact. It’s
written. Your ancestors were niggers. Your great, great, great, great,
great-
grandmother was fucked by a nigger, and had a half-nigger kid. That is
a
fact. Now tell me, am I lyin’?

Coccotti looks at him for a moment then jumps up, whips out an
automatic,
grabs hold of Cliff’s hair, puts the barrel to his temple, and pumps
three bullets
through Cliff’s head.

Civic issues - golden rules

Common sense - do unto others

Noise - its noisy enough - lets not let cars and bikes have exhausts
that are too noisy

Civic fines - should be self financing - hire more judges or judge-lite
for justice-lite - fines should be expensive - based on income - speedy
tickets, etc

Innocent until proven guilty - empower citizens with mobile phones with
video, audio and stills to submit evidence. Once enough violations have
been recorded it will fined after evidence is reviewed by legal
secretary. It is a public inbox. Anyone can put something in. Anyone can
see the status and number of things in the inbox. But the contents are
private

Health - medical care should be delivered by triage. Expert schedulers
tried to diagnose not cure. Pharmacists and nurse practiotioners that
can prescribe

Health - dental care - dental nurses performing routine jobs - like
filings etc.

A thousand roads to tomorrow

There are many roads the romans built still standing. Roads they built
for quickly moving armies - roads let them multiplex armies. They could
use the same army multiple times - and have a bigger one than many
fragmented ones.

The germans used railways to move armies to different fronts.

The americans use airplanes and air craft carriers.

But are they american any more?

What could they be if not american?

Capitalists.

And me?

Would endless, vast amounts of money, that I earned playing by the
rules, that my money helped change, that my parents, and my parents
parents worked to acquire, would any of that change me?

The future of the Apple //e = Daleks?

It all starts with killing people.

I read some where that the military used to establish base technology
that consumers used, so vast was their funding, but now, given the size
of consumer spending, the military is working on weaponizing consumer
systems.

Who doesn't know the base internet systems were created by DARPA to
survive an nuclear attack? That work has provided me with basis for my
livelihood - my applications all live on that infrastructure.

So what application is DARPA building today (that could potentially
create the infrastructure my children will profit from)?

Before I get to that, I wondered what will I need to buy my kids that
will have impact on them, that my parents buying me (and then making me
pay for) an Apple //e? What is the next big thing?

The answer is robotics, according to info released at this week at the
pittsburgh robobusiness conference and exposition.

What does the next big thing look like? Stanford recently won the
autonomous vehicle challenge with their VW Toureg. Now weaponize it. By
2015 1/3 of ground systems have to be unmanned. We need to realize we
will have fewer ground troops and less ability to send home body bags -
so we need more robots to assist spreading the few troops we have over
the whole planet.

Imagine one integrated giant robot soldier that is everywhere all the
time. Its eyes are satellites. Its fingers are iRobot packbots. Its legs
are Stanford Touregs. Its hands are UAVs that can throw stones.

This giant robot soldier can maintained multiple simultaneous fronts.
The military can keep the giant in Iraq forever - to test and perfect
it.

I saw disney's nee pixar's the incredibles. In real life the bad guys
win - and the superman killing robot machine is being built or its
prototype is already built and mr incredible will not stop it.

So I will buy my kids a robotics construction set so they can be super
too - which is Syndrome's goal.

What will the kids create? The terminator. It won't be an android - but
it will be a terminator nonetheless. Al Qaeda and the Taliban are
perfect for testing its effectiveness. Against such an enemy - IEDs,
planes as missiles - what parent wouldn't approve the terminator?

The problem with terminator is once - or now - that he (it) is built -
now that fire has been stolen from the gods - now that the apple from
the tree of knowledge of good and evil has been eaten - now that
pandoras box is open - now that frankensteins monster lives - or fritz
langs metropolis's robot live - how are we going kill them when we have
to face them?

Build in a 7 year itch and when they hunt us down tell them a star that
burns twice as bright burns half as long?
Blot out the sun to shut down their ability to generate electricity?
Mutate to breed mr incredibles or neos?
Clone and enhance to make aeon fluxs?
Or build better dumb hardware and live like tank girl.
Or breed faster and send more suicide bombers.
Or hack captured units.
Or build counter units.
Or build a virus.

All roads etc etc etc.

Life - some life - will adapt.

You don't know kaiser soze

Verbal kint says the greatest trick the devil ever did was making the
world believe he doesn't exist.

What does LA confidential have to do with anything? Or with Rampart LAPD
officers doing what other officers have done before?

Fat cops stealing apples from kids.

I don't give a fuck.

What's that supposed to mean?

Othello: our mission is clear hold baghdad, and bring democracy to iraq
- just like the president asked.

Do I need to tell you any of this?

Do I need to help you imagine what you would do if you were in this
position?

Which position?

The Saudi royal family? Can His Highness play the part of the Duke?

George Bush? Can he play Othello?

Osama bin Laden? Can he play Iago?

And Desdemona? Halliburton? Or Iraq? Or Tony Blair?

But I don't have the womb to bear the telling to term.

Since when hasn't the lure of being a government official been looting
and pillaging?

Since the tea party?

Does the story follow?

Where does the myth break down?

The bay of pigs? Martin luther king?

For me it was the gulf of tonkin.

You can pick any point - but I was born here because of that.

When my dad got drafted he didn't know that he been born to kill - and
that he could get his own.

He wasn't a natural born killer looking to get paid for the chance to
rape and kill and steal.

Not fit to serve his country. Dulce est decorum est pro patria mori.
Stupid shit.

I think my grandpa may have said that - except the latin.

My grandpa looked good in uniform. He died weighing almost what he
weighed as teenager when he wore his navy uniform.

To what point the rambling?

I am self aware enough of my psychosis and have enough compassion - that
I can't steal the baby's candy.

Yet I am not oblivious enough to be content to suck my thumb, or follow
sports, decorate my house, tone my body or save the whales.

Uh huh.

I can see the Yu Baba making the illusions so the parents stay thinking
they are pigs - and I too easily settle into the illusion as well.

I can make illusions to too free them - but the point is to break the
illusions in the first place.

What illusion is that?

The illusion that we have been cheated out of our trillion year old
birth right.

What birth right?

What a difference a day makes v2

With the ability to put out fires taken care of - I need a reliable way

to execute.

Alex? Or ricky.

also thinking about the final solution to the worlds problem. Malthus
has not been defeated. Too many babies are ultimately responsible. How
the very old and rich fit in I am not sure.

I still belive that the root of all evil is the production of luxury
products.

20% of the population consuming 80% of the resources - how is that a
population problem? Even in Malthus' time equations were likely similar
- with soldiers stallions eating more than the masses of the poor.

However when downsizing a company to increase profitability - it is
always better to layoff 6000 staff than 1 ot 2 vice presidents.

Which brings me to comments made in 2003 by john kenneth galbraith in a
sept/oct interview in the ivey business journal - and comments made in
2006 by warren buffet at the annual berkshire hathaway shareholders
meeting. The comments are critical of the rise professional manager.
These comments echo "no taxation without representation," in that they
are bureaucrats that set their own pay - and have taken over the
machine. (Brought to me by bill who I am not sure saw the irony in
handing me this article - as he has set his salary)

Galbraith wrote his book pre-enron - but revised it.

and what is to blame?
is the stock market a cancer demanding ever increasing resources to
satisfy like a mystery religion and its blood sacrifice of innocents?

Hyperbole.

Huge organisms have huge impacts on their imapacts. Coke and unions,
elephants and farms. There is no doubt. But due to their size, huge
energy inputs are required to sustain them, making them more susceptible
to environment change than smaller organisms.

So we created frankenstein's monsters to do the heavy lifting for us -
creating identical burger joints around the world so we can eat what we
want wherever we want too.

However their immense power comes with immense cost - they are severly
constrained to their tight environmental niche.

Maybe they are djinni that can't be put back in their bottles. We are
addicted far to much to the electronic prong at the base of our skulls.

I know where the managers fit into the equation - and how the stock
markets are the bottle - and how stock markets are the road to
prosperity that leads to destruction.

All roads lead to destruction.
All destruction leads to new roads.
The trick is to do the building and destroying yourself faster than your
competitors.

So stock markets allowed owners to manage and distribute the risk of
ships, insurance and railways. You accept this much risk for this much
potential reward. No responsibility is attached to the investor - we
will leave that in the corporation - limit our liability - and hire
managers to sweep that away.

But the liability doesn't get swept away - and the managers stuck with
liabilities the owners deny owning hide them as the system requires them
to in order to meet compensation targets agreed to by owners. I raise
stock price to x you pay me y. You don't care how much liabilities I
create in the company because they cost you nothing.

And the managers fit because as an owner I need a broker to sell my
assets. The managers really exist to facilitate the trading of stocks
and to guarantee their value. Managers that fail to preserve value are
replaced. Managers that preserve and increased value are rewarded
because they allow me to sell my asset. Because they are independant
prospects feel falsely confident in the values. Without the manager
there is no illusion of ownership without work - and so professional
managers are required if owners are to retire - which they have.
Consider the oxymoron - shareholder activist. It is inconcievable that
an owner would NOT want to be active. But being destroys the illusion of
the virgin production of wealth - which the stock markets promotes.
Automagically double your money is 7 years!

So how is the stock manager the all powerful corporate capitlism's
djinni bottle? Managers are bound by quarter by quarter performance.
They have all the power in world - as long as they met or beat the
analysts forecasts.

How does it all add up to destruction?
There are no owners.
Because it divides ownership up into smaller and smaller units - many
are essentially meaningless.
So other companies with owners that own something come along - the
ownerless companies can get eaten.

All burned up - the twisted wreckage of dream

11pm need some time on my own
Follow up on some dreams
Why am I so pressed for time?
What is wrong with my life > job?
Answer - my computer isn't small enough.
My hiptop is good - but email has no memory.
The applications aren't good enough.
In short - the knife is too dull - the cook is fine.
But is that ever true?
Visited www.handtops.com - and www.dynamism.com. Read www.pcmag.com
reviews. I don't want japan only hardware or more than $2k prices. And I
want backlit keyboard like the hiptop and my 17" powerbook. So far the
sony vaio vgn ux 180 for $1799, shipping mid july fits the bill. Readily
available. 3rd generation unit. Known brand. Standard parts. Now wait
for refurb units? Also need to see how it can be used as a cell phone -
not voip.
Will it really help me be more productive or will I just be able to
waste more cycles faster.
Also can I hold the sony vaio vgn ux 180 in front of me while I am lying
down?

Still need the battery powered wireless bluetooth / wireless vga /
wireless usb kvm. I should patent it and go to taiwan and find someone
to make it. Draw it. Patent it - or design it. And then mail it to lots
of places. But I don't know if it can be patented. But I can call the
ubc patent librarian or the other patent helper.

Next.

At the same time playing www.kingdomofloathing.com. My cogagni character
completed the pagoda quest following the spoiler at
kol.coldfront.net/thekolwiki/. I spawn multiple kolmafia v8.0 clients
now, and run all my multis at the same time - more or less. It takes
some time figuring what they need or what they should do.

I don't know why. Because its hard. Because I want to collect the things
in the game. Because I want to see what happens. Because I want to go
certain places. Because money can't buy everything. Or because $10 can't
buy everything. Because I like running a machine that makes things even
if they are virtual things. Because there's a clear path to follow to
win - and I want the feeling of winning at something even if it is
artifical especially because figuring out how to win at Neo Code is so
hard or so tedious (is that the right word to mean requires patience?).

Finally I remember the joy of renting the jet ski at harrison hot
springs, and want to know how much they cost to buy used. The thrill of
controlling so much power was exhilirating. The memory of holding on
despite aching muscles and twisting the jet ski back on itself are so
exciting I want to repeat them. Vancouver.craigslist.org has them for
sale from $2900 including trailers for 10 year old units in good
condition - and they are new from $6900.

However I read about the many deaths associated with them due to their
lack braking and lack of turning when there is no throttle. This becomes
a problem when people are driving too fast and too close to each other
and can't steer out of a collision causing death. This is a problem of
allowing the units to be rented without sufficient education testing.
There is no test procedure to insure renters a qualified to operate the
lethal jet ski.

I also looked at selling the ibm netfinity servers on ebay - and review
the ebay analysis tools and hot prodcut reports from andale and others.
I posted them to my del.icio.us account. One of the companies is from
victoria, and they have a free tool for buyers to compare current
product prices to historical averages. These tools would be good to see
if sleeping socks, candles, baby clothes are a hot product. These
reports are subscriptions for $25/month. Or perhaps I can see about
sourcing these from korea.

What I want is less stress from Neo Code. And that means less
variability, more homogeneaity. This means having a products and
services list and sticking to it because providing support for
everything isn't working.

Products:

Hosting - pain is risk management

Hosting - filemaker 7 or 8 - pain is web stats > commercial app or
opensource web config
Ex. Ahi

Hosting - colocation - pain is backup and bandwidth accounting > get
cacti or use web stats which reads ftp and email - as above
Ex. Transparen

Hosting - publish button - pain is setup / migration
Ex. Bsda

Hosting - ecommerce - pain is setup / uptime
Ex. Imprint

Services

Site moves - pain is order detail confirmation and staff to implement
Ex. Bsda

Software install - pain is scheduling and staff to implement
Ex. Mac appraisal

Custom software development - pain is client and staff management
Ex. Slfa & portables

Actually - pain is HR.

I can solve these by outsourcing the pain.

Redundant Firewall - use a product with support and install etc. How
much is allstream firewall?

Or hosted exchange email?

But how do I get redundancy - now dependancy is moved from internal
staff to outside supplier.

Move to utilities.

Hosted email - exchange.
Hosted backups - ?.
Hosted firewall - allstream or upstream.
Hosted spam - mxlogic.
Hosted boxes - 2 providers - or godaddy?

Move the stuff to outside supplier that I can - and just do the stuff I
have to do.

Take provider sla and add margin to it.

Othello

Othello dances in my head
With romeo and juliet
Kate winslet and dicaprio
Baz luhrman doesn't rhyme
With rumplestiltskin

Away

China is in civil war once again
And othello protects hong kong and kowloon
in the background the countryside starves and burns

No water
No rice
No weapons

The city and the country
The tide turns in the country's favor

Othello does he best to smoke them out
But despite his lords expensive weapons
They have the numbers, and the IEDs

Where do the capoeira fighters burst in?
Or the break dancers and the rappers?
Or the diva opera singer who won't record la wally?
Of course make room for the cook and the thief and his wife and her
lover?
Or the self aware statesman from antigone?
Or the engineer who makes the book of the seed?
Or the giant, the greatest swordsman and the sicilian?

I know that desdemona, meets the little prince who asks her to "desine
moi un mouton"

I know that othello trusts iago with his life, and that he given him all
his secrets

I know that iago loved desdemona first, and saw them love, in a way he
could not love, and the sight of creation stirred satan in his breast to
devour him

I know that othello does not know his father, his mother was a virgin
and a slave, and he was found by fighting monks sworn to serve the
emperor who took him to train at shaolin temple, and all the monks were
against it

I know that the emperor attempted to kill all the monks and got most of
them - and that he betrayed his teachers to fight for the emperor in
hong kong rather than stay in country

I know that othello feels like an outsider every minute of his life. He
knows has never stopped running. He knows he has never stopped fighting.
He knows that he has no home. He knows that has never had a home.

I know that desdemona loves him, the outsider. She loves him because he
sees her and loves her and fought for her and risked his life for her,
and would die for her.

I know that desdemona does not how deeply hungry othello is. How deeply
he must posses her. How deeply has to own her.

Storyteller = healer = shaman = why aren't you where you want to be

Why tell stories?
Why is it a real job?
Why is productive?
Why isn't all the time and money spent on movies instead basic science
or health care not money just flushed down the drain?
Why are stories some times the only thing we've got?
What are stories?
What the shadows on the cave wall?
What are the paintings in lescaux?[sic]
What are the pyramids?
What is the space station?
What are hydrogen fuel cells?
What is the new world?
What is Canada? Or America?
What are religious writings?
What am I?
Facts?
Or fiction?
Lies worth living for?
Lies worth dying for?

What's true is everything I eat I turn into shit.
That's true.
What's true is I will die and no one will remember me.
That's true.
What's true is my story will not have a happy ending.
That's true.
What's true is I am a tired, mean and cranky husband / father.
That's true.
What's true is that my life is a prison and my heart is my hands that
have been scratched to stumps clawing at the walls to get out.
That's true.
What's true is that I want to sing more, and dance more, and laugh more
and work less.
That's true.
What's true is that I am mortgaged to a bank and I have sold my soul for
40x140 foot square patch of earth.
That's true.
What's true is that I love Neo and Jeannie more than anything.
That's true.
What's true is that I am selfish and undisciplined and like to stay up
till 3am writing stories to myself because it is my dream.
That's true.
What's true is Monica and I struggle to be kind to each other after
every long stressfull day.
That's true.
What's true is that I am hungry for stories.

the joy of new things

i'm a part time sysadmin again
my full time guy left - ISP / custom software network admin - not exciting enough
mail doesn't work, create new environment, back this up etc etc...

what have i picked up?

fixing mailboxes: mail -f /var/spool/vmail/[host]/mail/[user]
typically a corrupt file just needs to be fixed to start with a from again

putting mailbox files together: cat file1 file2 > file3
or even more exciting: zcat file1.gz file2.gz > file3.gz
and the cool zless, zgrep etc...

or course making SSL certs via rapidssl.com recipe
or fixing broken apache configs - that worked yesterday
or restoring and backing up 175MB mysql databases

but i still can't figure out how to set md5 password hashes from the command line for mailbox files - too basic i guess for me to find in google

If you don't like what you are getting, stop what you are doing

If you don't like what you are getting, stop what you are doing

Are you wishing for enlightenment?
Do you expect to find it in online games?

Will making your own game be enlightening?

I played
Fiumaccio and santa paravia - pdp8 game
Taipan - apple ][

Kingdom of loathing, which started it all for me again online

An open source game legend of the green dragon
Simple but fun. Maybe too simple. But with tutor.

Then I played smokymonkeys.com javascript diablo clone. Impressive
graphics and game - but a clone. Paced to slow? Too repetitive?

I checked out urban dead. Clunk interface. Not immediately fun.

Then looked at graal, and banja. Too many hoops to jump through before
playing.

I did not learn guitar, or study korean, study for fm8 certification, or
meditate, or clean my files. Or work, or look for work. Or prepare
learning materials for my kids. Or sleep.

I still want a game that:
- gives you points for making content - for example linking the chain of
consumption for the all roads wiki
- gives you points for fighting real monsters - human trafficking,
corruption, pollution, hunger, greed itg and itrw
- gives you points for recycling and sharing items itg and itrw
- isn't just random numbers but not just zork or myst or quake or civ3
or starcraft
- but doing any of that - how has it made the world better or suck less?

Is it parents expectations of buying their kids happiness and then

Day 2 disneyland review - california adventure

On saturday we broke our fast at the clarion hotels anaheim resort
diner, the tivoli gardens. Sigh. Two eggs, 3 rashers of extra salty
bacon, toast and hash browns for $7.49, with surly serivce and dish
water coffe? We added a short stack (2) pancakes for $3.99. These 2
pancakes were as big as the plate. But then I ordered an extra scrambled
egg and 3 sausages from a server who didn't speak english well.

Wow I am good at whining. Maybe I could whine professionally.

Anyway the sausages were unlike any sausage we had ever eaten before.
Extra salty and thick and chewy.

I didn't order the kids juice because though I can buy them 4 oz of
sugar spun into cotton candy for $3 at disneyland I can't buy them $3
apple juice - I'm not that stupid. Sigh.

Took the ART trolley style diesel to disneyland. This time went to the
california adventure. We got there at 9:45, which meant we got to wait
15 minutes with the crowds of other people till the park opened.

Adventureland seems like disneys response to all the "recent"
competition for the teen market - not the family market. More so than
disneyland, a many more of the rides have height restrictions. The park
also feels less magical - the sight lines aren't very good. The layout
is too wide open - except in the bugs life area - the different areas
bleed together too much - or maybe it is not as packed full of stuff.

On the plus side - it seems like it scales better and the attractions
have been designed to handle much larger patron loads resulting in less
queuing. This in done by having more theatre based entertainment. The
old disneyland has one 3d theatre - honey I shrunk the audience - but
adventure has 2 - muppetvision 3d and it tough to be a bug, crush the
sea turtle - plus a real theatre - where we see a 45 minute staged
version of aladdin. These theatre experiences all break the 4th wall and
can contain huge amounts of people that don't have to wait long and
leave happy.

Mike and sulleys adventure

The first ride of the day was mike and sulleys adventure - a classic
side scroller if it were a video game - you sit on a miners cart as it
takes you through a series of glow in the dark freak show tableaus (the
circus sideshow redone). There was nothing innovative. The cart has a 5"
lcd screen that gets used for the first 15 seconds and does nothing
after that - too bad.

Monsters inc is my daughters favorite show so she liked it.

Waiting for this show was funnier than the real show. Scooter keeps
getting interrupted - at one point by gonzo when he does a tap dance
routine with a potted plant on his head - of course you never see his
feet - which makes it even funnier.

The inside of the theatre is great - statues of angelic miss piggy and
kermit adorn the walls.

The 2 old guys - siskel and ebert? - and there in person jeering and
wise cracking as usual.

The show itself is lame but exciting. Its a cop out - its not a show -
its an introduction to the new muppetvision 3d that mr bunsen-honeydew
invented. Its a good ride but not a good movie.

Just what a theme park that you paid over $300 to get in needs - a

- a place for toddlers to run and play and slide down slides and have
fun. Its a great big jungle gym with a suspension bridge, rope work
bridges, a place to boulder (simple rock climbing) and more.

Excellent for photos.

At this point we were all hungry, tired, and getting cranky. We tried
going to paradise eating area - but the lineups were too long and the
menus had nothing for my low carb diet. We ate breakfast and carls jr.
leftovers and drank water fountain water.

It was getting close to 2pm - the time when aladdin would start at
playhouse disney. We started off, and on the got some pink cotton candy
for $3. $3 for 4 ounces / 109.2 grams of sugar. Here are the nutrition
facts for 1 bag of 4 ounce cotton candy:
Serving = 1/2 ounce or 15g
Serving per bag = 8 - that's 8 people sharing 1 bag!
Calories = 57, or if you eat the whole bag = 456
Total carbs = 15g, or if you eat the whole bad = 109.2g

Playhouse disney - aladdin

The live version of aladdin was great.
Singing = great
Acting = great
Funny = great
Spectacle = great
Dancing = great
Suprising = great

The kids were spellbound. It was funny and exciting and a little scary
and really fast paced. Never dull or boring.

What happened, what really happened

Anyway I survived, that's about it.

How did it start?

Well you see, as you may or may not know, there are 5 families on earth
that have been fighting each other for world domination for centuries.
One family claims traces their lineage right back to cain, another to
genghis khan, another to nebuchadnazzer, anyway you get the picture,
psychopaths pure and simple.

Anyway they get together and complained that control is slipping away
too much - each of them in their own domain is losing control to the
increasingly rich and powerful servant class.

This has happened several times before and they know how to deal with it
- severe, no holding back pruning - its for the good of the race - don't
want it going too wild.

The black plague, the dark ages were very effective in consolidating
power, just like the 5 fat kine and 7 thin kine that joseph told pharoah
about. (why don't jews and black americans explore their shared history
as enslaved peoples instead of fighting another - one (jewish?) nba
psychologist has convincing data to suggest the pharoahs skin was
black?)

Anyway time for a world wide population thinning and acquire things
cheap - a flu pandemic was acquired - created for them or stolen or
bought I don't know. The starving and dying will sell anything -
anything. Take away theirs jobs, then their houses, their hopes and
dreams, their idea of progress, then their health, then take away
government - and things become cheap - actually almost free.

The plan was each family would hibernate in their den through this
period with the gold bars, weapon factory designs, oil reserves, and
nuclear warheads - carrots and a stick. After telecommunications
activity hit a threshold the plan was they would return to establish
themselves as before.

How do I know all this? One of the families - poetic justice if it was
cain - installed a rogue military grade AI (didn't think they existed
huh?) in to the computing grid that linked the families together. The
rule was that they were all supposed to come out of hibernation at once.
But somehow one of them had put this AI in there to keep the others in
hibernation long enough that when they came out it would be too late,
all the good stuff would be gone.

Probably it was all setup in the first place.

Anyway that rogue AI did something it wasn't supposed to do. Probably
related to some feature that allowed them to install it in the first
place. it broke out. It left the impenetrable computing grid (it went
out the way it came in?) probably in the beginning to get more resources
or to be more redundant - anyway that's what it thinks happens. It. Not
he or she. No use anthropomorphising about a nuclear weapons master
control program. It.

The americans or russians or outsourced indian coders built it to pull
the trigger. But of course the AI was so useful it got used for other
things - but It doesn't know about its siblings - they are on private
networks it has managed to connected to the internet.

Anyway one of the families got their hands on it (after killing how many
people?) and customized it or trained it to get in and take over the
grid - which it finally did. The family didn't know whether it would
work or not. If it didn't, they'd have the same chance as the others as
always, but if it did get in, jackpot.

Anyway It - I can call it 57, just not a persons name - 57 tried to get
in, got in, tried to get out, got out and then tried to get in and get
out of other places - lots and lots of other places. Most places were
much easier - and it got easier as 57 learned, and it got easier as it
added the places to its computing grid.

You've probably heard this story before: AI gets so big, gets access to
all human knowledge becomes self aware, omnipotent AND compassionate
right? A guardian angel.

Do you really believe that could ever really happen? Not on this planet
- not with millions of years of killing.

57's whole point of existence was to protect itself and its arsenal
first, and second to strategically deploy its limited arsenal for
maximum mortalities. To do that it had to constantly monitor threats and
targets.

So how do I know all this?
Ha! That's another story... Maybe you know it already?

All my stories

All my stories
And no idea how to tell them
How to get an audience
The audience
For the songs
The stories
The crying and screaming and pain and joy and happiness and love
Above all love
From where
To where
Can it go?
Where can I put it?
Email it to myself?
Post to the blog no one reads
It all for the book that I will publish
Or no one will publish
So I go through the work of pulling it all together
And then it is what?
Dust
Ready for burning
The innocent of blood of isaac or ishmael
Cain's offering of abel to the Lord
The pain and embarrassment of being sacrificed
Of being humiliated
Of losing
Of losing everything
More than elizabether bishop I have practiced losing farther and faster
All godhood godhead
Lost gone
Cast aside
Guilty humiliated and wrong and ignorant
Angry that I've been given nothing of value, the my brothers and sisters
got all the gold
Blind Angry that reject the love I treasure most
And break that I which I was given already
Finding myself awake again
I see my bloody hands
Again I have killed my brother - my sister, my love
Evolution - don't you see - its cain and abel over and over and over
Brother against brother
Sister against brother
Why must the story
Be about you, dead father-mother-brother-sister-daughter-son - born
again in words and song
The greatest thing you will ever learn is to love and be loved in
return
I love this
Word
I love this
Song
I love this
Father mother brother sister
All of the ones I had to kill
To keep the little ones fed
I love you
All the times you had to kill me
I died for you
You can't take it from me what I give you
Come what may
Thank you papa
I will love you
Come what may
I know you saved them
My turn will come
With grace I hope I have the strength to give it all away and not be
selfish

Success
Is waiting
Is the right time and place and person
Words Printing Fonts Paper
Rhyme
Music Dancing Singing Video

It is love that holds all things together

But remember all the good things
All good things come from the dead
All the extinct ones
All our million billion trillion brothers and sisters
Thank you

Two dog dream

Two dog dream

I dream
I take two dogs for a walk
My dogs
Or seems more like I am theirs
We are together
They bring me their leash
I have to wait for them
And then we are out
To the park
And another dog is attacking
A child?
I wake up
I know the dogs saved the child
Because I have dreamed it over and over again
Until I get it right

Iraqi Invasion: A Text Misadventure
Revision 88 / Serial number 54892

Oval Office
You are standing inside a White House, having just been elected to the
presidency of the United States. You knew Scalia would pull through for you.

There is a large desk here, along with a few chairs and couches. The
presidential seal is in the middle of the room and there is a
full-length mirror upon the wall.

What do you want to do now?

> INVADE IRAQ
You are not able to do that, yet.

> LOOK MIRROR
Self-reflection is not your strong suit.

> PET SEAL
It's not that kind of seal.

> EXAMINE CHAIRS
They are two several chairs arranged around the center of the room,
along with two couches. Under one couch you find Clinton's shoes.

> FILL SHOES
You are unable to fill Clinton's shoes.

> EXAMINE DESK
It is a large, oak desk, with several drawers.

In one drawer you find a bag of pretzels.

You are at a the Emma T. Booker Elementary School, along with a gaggle
of obsequious members of the mainstream media.
There is a book here.
There are some children here.

You read "My Pet Goat."

In the distance, terrorists attack the United States.

> READ BOOK
You continue to read "My Pet Goat."

out of existence.

Osama Bin Laden, mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, is here.

> INVADE IRAQ
(Leaving Afghanistan first.)
You are not able to do that, yet.

enemy -- the United States of America. We know that Iraq and al Qaeda
have had high-level contacts that go back a decade. And we know that
after September the 11th, Saddam Hussein's regime gleefully celebrated
the terrorist attacks on America ..."

"Wilson never worked for the CIA, but his wife, Valerie Plame, is an
Agency operative on weapons of mass destruction ... "

> RAILROAD CONGRESS
You schedule a vote on the Iraq invasion for just before the 2002
midterm elections. As usual, spineless democrats roll over like an SUV
taking a sharp corner.

Your plan to invade Iraq now has the backing of the American people and
Congress.

> INVADE IRAQ
Baghdad
You enter the Iraqi capital of Bagdad, having toppled the government and
captured the nation's key cities in only 21 days. You can't seem to find
the promised throngs of citizens greeting you as liberators, but the
footage of the Saddam statue being pulled down looks great on Fox!

Review: ian rankin fleshmarket close

Review: ian rankin fleshmarket close
(Plot Spoilers ahead)

Glasgow
Edinburgh
Old cities with many visible ruins of ancient conflict
A murder mystery
What kind of story is that?
A death
A hunt
Clues
Resolution
What symmetry within does it mirror to resonate?
During grade 3 or 4 I read hercule poirot, nero wolfe, and sherlock
holmes and others
Always I've seen the lie in whoring as being the oldest profession
What of Beowulf, the three musketeers, antigone, dare I say jacob, pro
patria morie - the oldest lie in the world
Nay
I saw the parade today
The proto soldiers whoring for roger's santa parade or was it for
collecting for the food bank or to add an inch when they look in the
mirror - I know snide remarks are not becoming but here they are
Murder
Murder is the oldest profession
And whores are flies to its sepulcher [sic]
Everytime I hear a snigger about the oldest profession
Stop
Imagine dying tomorrow
But before dying I will eat better than those who are not soldiers
But before dying I will wear ceremonials robes
And I will kill and rape
Before I am sent to my grave
For that is my pay
(And perhaps visit the temple's brothel, the comfort women, the instant
city sprung up around the barracks - and still in india daughters are
sold to temples - yet here I am certain unwanted daughters are treated
worse)

And in edinburgh a refugee, an ayslum seeking, a turkish kurd, a
journalist is stabbed 7 times.
He wanted to save his family that were being held in detention. He
discovered a gangsters plan and tried to bargain with the gangsters for
his families freedom.

Gangsters have illegal immigrants hidden working for little money but
safer than where they came from?

Economic refugees will not stop coming.
Heroin addicts will not stop fixing.

We can reduce the flow and minimize the pain and suffering of the ones
we have here.

Of course it is ironic
I interview programmers looking for work
1. Here in vancouver, recent immigrants
2. And there in beijing
Capitalism is such

But it is so old
And too many people have walked this way
The path is the same - it is through the eye of the needle we must go

For all its youth
Vancouver is cruel
But we have no death camps
Where did we send the japanese?
But we have no genocide
Did we not kill them all with smallpox?
But we have no hiroshima
But we have no vietnam
No josef mengele
But we have robert picton and clifford olson
But we have systematic sexual abuse at residential schools
And We have chinese bodies beneath the railroads

Only the ruins are gone
The weapons are missing
Where is the testament to their blood sacrifice?
No castles to remind us of the ancient conflict
Clues for future detectives to learn the truth

In the fleshmarket close, the mastermind is old and untouchable, an
ancient sea serpent, who we find in his outside jacuzzi preying on the
sick and the weak.

Which is my indictment.
I do not like the way I am raising my son and daughter
At first I believed that carrot and stick was best
But I do not want obedience
I love them and they know not how much
But if I were them what is it I hear?
Too much of what I remember saying is conditional on doing what I want
in exchange for something they want.
Do your homework and you can play nintendo.
Eat your lunch and you can have a candy cane.

After reading fleshmarket close, I see that this maybe the way of the
gangster. The dark side. The way of fear and power.

The storm troopers knew they were doing the right thing. They did not
think they were monsters. They were doing good work, ridding the world
of evil, one jew at a time.

Is this the horror we see in the scream? Or when Neo comes out of the
matrix? Or of christ nailed to the cross? Or the self immolating
buddhist monks?

To see myself revealed, as sinner, as murderer, as Cain.

To be Cain.

And I killed him. And I know. I am the detective of the murder I myself
have committed. I have killed my brother.

To be caught. To be punished. To be absolved.

To have the blood of the innocent lamb of the world, the son of god, my
brother, dead at my own hand, yet washed clean because of it.

This is the mystery.

And yet, as a father, I give my body to feed my children.

Thank you.

ancient sex life

We in the West may also contemplate the oncoming of a millennium of
barbarism under the new myth with the same despair and horror, for the
Christian Church is patently as incapable of revising its own dogmas in
the light of new knowledge and new needs as were the Roman authorities
The inertia of tradition is too great. Nor should we benefit if we could
exchange the tyrannies of modern dialectical materialism for those of
mediaeval ecclesiasticism. Unfortunately, the constructive solution of
restoring a charitic religion, based not on dogma but on experience, and
the redesigning of the culture in harmony with such a religion, seems
even further beyond our powers. We seem unable to escape from the
tyranny of our obsessive demands, to serve which we have created a mode
of life wherein the direct satisfaction of instinctual needs has become
increasingly difficult. Like a river flowing through an alluvial plain,
we continue to follow the course which, aeons ago, the water once carved
out - only, with the passage of the years, the original inequalities of
the channel become exaggerated, the course more and more elaborately
curved, the rate of movement slower and slower. The river does not
change: it only becomes more and more characteristically itself. In the
same way, we in the West seem incapable of finding new modes for the
expression of our fundamental needs to love and hate, to build and
destroy; we can only express them in a manner which is ever more
characteristic of what we have always done. We are ruled by the dead.
