That's terrible.

We need to practice losing more than keys, cities, lovers and vaster
things still.
Coming to accept the truth of the collapse of our civilisation has been
hard.
I have been angry.
I have been depressed.
I have been in denial.
And now I can accept it.
But its so bitter knowing what I know.
There is no safe place.
We can't run away anymore from the problems our ancestors created.
Accepting the loss of the environment for my grand kis was the hardest.
Likely we are not yet done.

How to personify the human hunger and the rise and fall of civilisation
The pimp
The whore
The soldier
The dealer
The user
A car on the road
Falling apart
Running out gas
Stealing and killing to buy a bigger engine
Result: 8000 hospital visits, 3 million dollars, trauma, accidents, and
likely death
Doctor proposed solutions: pass the back - more road side checks, make
other professionals responsible
Real solution: charge those doctors for failing to uphold the law and
save lives, and cause so much damage
Note - if you try and exploit the system by changing the email in any
way, or by sending it to more than two people, you will break the chain
of goodness and will cause gasoline prices to rise, a recession in the
USA, water shortages in china and austrailia, fish stock collapses in
canada, and countless other environmental disasters. and probably cause
the crash of oil tanker.
All I really need
Is a song in my bum
Food in my bum-bum
And loooooove in my bummy-bum-bum
Obviosuly such a deep, and clearly transcendental (chew-chew) meditation
needs no explanation or clarification, but I will provide one anyway,
since you asked ever so politely and because I am not feeling to grumpy
this morning.
As long as humans persist in following the path of good and evil, of
duality, of right and wrong - death and destruction for many generations
will follow.
What I mean to say is that consumption creates garbage that lasts
forever.
The sooner humanity can wake up and smell the snake eating its own tail
brand of instant individually wrapped premixed coffee the better.
We can sustain our large populations only by loving to live off our own
waste.
It all begin with wanting to make my ecommerce software iphone
compatible. Not wanting to buy a grey market iphone in canada I was left
with the decision of either an 8gb or a 16gb itouch.
But you're interrupting me to ask why I didn't want to buy an illegal
iphone in canada? Doesn't supported hardware and software give you
enough trouble? I don't work more work and headaches and hassles. I
don't need an iphone anymore than anyone else needs an iphone. The
itouch gives me mobile safari which is good enough.
Anyway back to my story. I picked the 16gb, knowing that if I wanted to
listen to music, watch movies, and look at photos I would need as much
space as possible. Really it was greed. I wanted as much as possible. So
I got the supersized itouch.
Within two months I had broken the stereo. The headphone jacks no longer
played stereo sound.
Why? I had plugged my dj style sony headphones in and they have a large
mini jack - yes its an oxymoron but its true. The large mini jack
coupled with the long heavy cord, coupled with being put into my pocket,
coupled with my deep jeans pocket meant the mini jack got moved around
while inside the itouch effectively lobotomizing it.
I wasn't worried I had bought future shop warranty. Idiot. $99 for
coverage apple provides for $79. I bought the applecare too. Double
idiot. So what?
A couple days after talking to apple tech support (don't call on a
weekend!) I got a box in the mail and shipped my itouch out after
following their instructions. Two days later I got my replacement.
Wow! Great service.
Now I am sending my 2nd itouch back.
Why? Because it crashes. The sound stops and the screen slowly fades to
white and can't be turned off or on. Holding down the sleep/week and
home buttons doesn't really work.
I expect to have my 3rd itouch soon.
One forum poster I read, said that he got a universal dock, but being in
canada I think we get nothing. But I can always hope...

Allan: the next crop of chickens will be ready in a couple days, lets
take a break and go on a vacation.
Ellen: but the kids are in school allan. We've talked about this.
Allan: i am talking about spring break. We will have the money from
those 10,000 chickens. Lets go to mexico.
Ellen: we can't spend that money allan. We have to make a loan payment,
the property tax is coming, and income tax is due as well.
Allan: come on Ellen, we need to live
Ellen: sssh, you are going to wake up the kids
(French restaurant kitchen, chefs are prep'ing frozen chicken breasts

Francois: can you tell any difference?
Jules: you mean from the staff after changing the menu?
Francois: no - the chicken
Jules: of course - colour is yellower - and the flesh is firmer
Francois: I just hope its worth it
Jules: don't worry mon ami,
Francois: what if its too expsensive?
Jules: don't worry - we didn't order too much, we can always change back
- we will serve what ever people want
(Trade show in paris at weapons show)
Greg: the range on this isn't as good as the newer ones, but for the
same price you can get 8 of these
Mr. Brown: our neighbours don't have the newer ones yet - so we should
be good with these
Greg: are these for this years budget, or next years?
Mr. Brown: we haven't decided how many fighters to equip, but we have
equip at least 30. That's double what our neighbour has.
Greg: I understand
Mr. Brown: good weapons make good neighbours
(Doctors office, doctor and husband and wife)
Dr. Anna: I am not good at this part, despite practice. Your foetus has
fetal alcohol syndrome.
John: oh.
Mary: you sure?
John: are you positive? Can you test again?
Dr. Anna: positive. There is nothing we haven't tried.
John: what can we do?
Mary: john...
Dr. Anna: there are only 2 choices john.
Mary: carry the baby to term or...
John: not... I see.
