Scientists found antibiotics increased weight gain with livestock. Antibiotics now routinely given to animals to promote fast weight gain. Same time North Americans have growing obesity problem.
This is not a problem - it's an opportunity - feed antibiotics to starving people everywhere!
Unintended Consequences #2
To promote recycling of aluminum cans, a deposit system has been implemented.
The result is people are supplementing their income by cruising alleys at night.
