The ocean dream

We are swimming happily
Playing and eating tasting ocean food
Then we are told there are sharks
But that sharks never swim in the inlet where the factory is
We swim there
And it is deep and dark and dead
With great fallen tree trunks
But slowly we see squid
Groups of small squid harvesting floating islands of sea squirts
And bringing their harvests to larger squids

But they are a menace
And out on the beach
The squids take on childrens forms
And walk among us
Harvesting the unwary
Leading them to the inlet to swim
