two or three weeks ago, I began receiving the most unusual emails. In
the beginning I dismissed them as probe spam - you know the kind of spam
that doesn't try to selll you anything but contains a strange story. But
unlike normal spam the emails always came from a single email address,
and the emails weren't several stories ground up and hamburgered
together.

I have tried to contact the writer of these emails but all my emails
have been ignored. I begged, I pleaded, I negotiated, I yelled and I

The messages themselves look like this:

My Lord Crown Prince George,

I know your secrets - but I am on your side. I am of royal blood as
well.

I want to help the Royal Bush family's fight to rid the world of
democracy.

Lord Crown Prince George, I know you feel down, but you won't give up,
no matter how close to defeat you are, I know we 'must destroy
constitution.'

I know your family is actually from Saudi Arabia - part of the royal
family. How difficult it must be for you to pretend to be a commoner,
but your bear your burden with grace.

I know Saddam is your older brother and you share the same father. I
know that despite his betrayal of you and your father, you still love
him. I respect your compassion for sparing his life.

I know the world is not safe for our children. I know your a doing your
best to right the old wrong. Theocracy with the king as church is best
for the people, world peace and prosperity. I am impressed at your
ability to kill or imprison those barbarians that don't know that.

I know you have rigged elections with voting machines. I hope you have
everything in place for this november.

I know you crashed planes into buildings to put the common man in his
rightful place, and show them that they are no match for the rightful
king.

Your preparations the november coronation are good:
- phony new dow high
- artificially lowered gas prices
- artificially lowered gold prices
- lurid sex scandal in elected official - brilliant to feed one your own
to the dogs
- lurid child sex hostage taking shooting - brilliant to target the
amish
- north korea to test nuclear missile
- iran repudiates negotiations

For too long the world has suffered the evils of the common man having a
voice.

But have no fear, the royal family is here.

Go get 'em Lord Crown Prince George.

You can't let them stop you and your good work to rid the world of
democracy.

Rumpelstiltskin v9

Rumpelstiltskin

A book in more than 10 pages

1. Once upon a time there was a poor old miller who depended on his
daughter to run. he isn't important - but his daughter jeannie was very
smart, clever, and cute. She was sick and tired of carrying sacks of
wheat, and grinding wheat all day for her old father and was always
coming up with ideas to become rich and famous.
(She knew the king was greedy)

2. One day when the king, some lords and his guards were riding by, she
made her father run out kneel before the kings horses with a plate with
a few gold coins on it. The king asked what he wanted, the miller told
the king what Jeannie had asked to him say - 'oh lord, these coins are
but a few of the many coins thay my daughter has made by spinning straw
in to gold.'

3. The king ordered that she be brought to him at once. she courtsied to
the king and told him that of course she couldn't spin straw into gold
but, and here she took out her plans, that by taxing water usage he
could raise levies to build a dam that would power more wind mills,
grind more grain and generate even more taxes.

4. The king was not a nice man. He hadn't stayed king by being nice. And
he didn't like being made fun of in front of his lords by anyone -
though she was cute, and obviously clever - he was furious and he wanted
his revenge on her by showing his lords that no one could get the better
of him. 'Give this man a sound thrashing for daring to speak to the king
and leave him in the street,' some of his accompanying guards
immediately started to pummel her father, who was being held by two
soldiers and beaten by two others. Turning to Jeannie, who was being
held back by two other guards, he said 'and as for the girl, through her
in the dungeon, provide her with a spinning wheel and straw, and bring
me her head tomorrow if she hasn't spun the straw into gold.'

6. Jeannie sat with back to spinning wheel and the straw and cried and
cried and cried. She was upset with herself and wished she was back at
home with her father carrying the sacks of wheat or grinding the endless
wheat into flour instead of being locked in the cold, wet, smelly and
rat infested prison waiting to die.

7. Before she had time to feel truly miserable about dying the next day
and leaving her father alone - suddenly there was a knock on the prison
door, and in came a small strange man. Strange because he was so small
and strange because he had opened the door, but she hadn't heard the
turn key turn to unlock it. He looked her up and down and said - 'what
will you give me if I spin this straw into gold?'

8. Jeannie tried to wake herself up - 'I must be dreaming this. I must
be still asleep in my bed in the windmill.'

Jeannie said 'I don't have anything to give you.'

He said 'Give me that gold ring on your finger.'

'That was my mothers wedding ring, the only thing I have left that was
hers. Don't ask for that,' Jeannie pleaded.

'What good is the ring if can't save your life? Do you think the
executioner will not slip it from your finger before he removes your
head?'

'What if you run away after I give you the ring?' she asked.

He gripped her hand with suprising speed and strength - 'I could take it
now,' and then let go.

'Here take my mother's gold ring,' she said slipping it off her
finder.

He put the ring on his necklace, and set to work feeding the straw into
the spinning wheel, and he began to sing a lullaby. And soon the
lullaby, the sound of the spinning wheel and the hypnotic spinning of
the wheel soon put Jeannie to sleep.

9. The sound of the prison door crashing open made Jeannie wake up in a
start. She rubbed her eyes and stood up. The executioner and a guard
were standing in the room with dumbfounded looks on their faces. The
straw was all gone, and in its place was solid gold thread. They were
scared, and closed the door again.

10. The prison door opened again, and in walked the king. The king
blinked and gulped and rubbed his eyes. He had brought with him some of
his ministers who whispered amongst themselves. He had brought a preist
who was sure it was the devils work. He had also brought his master
goldsmith. The goldsmith went down on his hands and knees and felt the
solid gold thread. He looked at it, smelled, and he bit it, checking if
it was gold. He hit it with his hammer and weighed it on his scale. Then
he turned to the king and nodded.

10. A sly and crafty look fell over the king's face. 'So,' he said, 'you
can spin straw into gold. You weren't lying after all. I will put your
talents to good use.' But Jeannie protested - 'my lord, I can't spin
straw into gold! It wasn't me - I swear! It was the little man - he came
in and did the spinning. I gave him my ring.' The king frowned, and and
then called to the guard outside the door - 'guardsmen, bring me the
captain of the guard this instant' The captain of the guard came
running, and panting said 'sire, what is it? What has happened?'
'captain, on your life, did anyone enter this room last night?' asked
the king. The captain starting shaking 'no sire. I posted these two
guards and no one has come in or out.' The king nodded, and the captain
relaxed and looked around for first time and was shocked.

11. 'Miller's daughter, it wasn't you that spun this gold? Was it the
devil that helped you as my chaplain believes? Did my captain of the
guard forfeit his life by failing in his duties and let the devil?' the
king laughed. 'Tonight I will move you to bigger, better guarded prison,
with more straw that my chaplain has sprinkled with holy water for you
to spin on your life in to gold, and we will shall see what will shall
see.' With that the king, very pleased with his cleverness ordered the
gold transferred to his vaults and Jeannie moved to a medium security
prison.

12. Jeannie lay surrounded by straw heaped all around her. Was that
small man really the devil? Then she thought of her dying tomorrow. Then
she thought of all the people she would never see. She thought of the
husband she would never meet, the child she would never have, and the
grandchild she would never spoil. She wondered what having her head cut
off would feel like. She wondered what would happen to her body. She was
doing her best to stay awake since it was to be her last night alive. As
she was starting to go to sleep a familiar voice said to her 'what will
you give me, if I spin this straw into gold?'

13. She opened her aways. It was the little man. She made to run and
pound on the door - but the little man caught her by the wrist with an
iron grip. 'No,' he said. She opened her mouth to scream - when out shot
his other hand, and covered her mouth so she couldn't breathe. 'Not that
either.'

14. She nodded and at once he let her go. 'What are you doing here? Who
are you? Where do you come from? Do you always hang out it prisons
waiting for women to show up that need straw spun into gold?'

'so - you has better to learn to spin straw into gold. Because in the

We are the result of genes that have survived at least 2.5 billion
years

But I guess we are older
If it is no coincidence
That the macroscopic resembles microscopic

And the solar system is the womb of our birth
And the earth our mothers egg
And the comets our fathers sperm bringing water and carbon
And the asteroids death

And 40,000 years an ice age coincided with jared diamonds great leap
forward that he chronicles in guns germs steel
Hominids cro magnons left no art before this
But these weren't just ornaments
They left luxury items that were used as gifts to prevail over other
humans

A: first wish would be to live honourably
Q: what do you mean by that
A: do no harm and do unto others as you have them do unto you. I do not
want to knowingly or unknowingly profit from the exploitation of others.
I do not want the goods that I purchase or consume to pollute the world
or harm others. I do not want the production of the goods that I
purchase or consume to pollute the world or harm others. In fact I want
the goods that I purchase to clean the world and heal myself and others.
In fact I want the productions of the goods I purchase to clean the

A: Die honourably
Q: what do you mean?
A: I thought I meant dying without regrets, but I am not that selfish. I
want to die having loved and been loved in return. I am ready anytime
even though I can never have enough. I love now, and am loved in
return.

A: Save the world
Q: how is this different from live honourably?
A: living honourably is passive.
I want billion dollar silicon wafer plants AND clean drinking water AND

Digital posters - confidence building needed

==What==
Digital posters
phase 1 - confidence building needed

==Why==
What could I have been thinking?

I almost talked myself into wearing the emperor's new clothes.

I don't need spec or scope until I have confidence that there is a
product - not just thread that only the wise can see.

We don't have a beta quality product - its barely an alpha.

I don't have confidence in it now - but I know how I can get it and
roughly how much it will cost.

==Where==
Where is confidence needed?

3 places:

1- quality - platform itself - is the code good enough?
I have heard grumblings
I want other developer feedback (brutal honesty) and qa

2- quantity - features - are the features right?
No - you want abstacts bundled - not enough on its own
I want more client feedback
I want it to stand on its own
What can we charge for different feature / development risk set

3- clients - 2 clients is not enough to justify the amount of investment
we are planning - and only 1 client (cns) from start to finish
I want to see 5 or 6 clients use it free and actually sign up to buy it
the next year or longer

==How==
Spend $8k to 24k over 6 months.

Q: What's the cheapest way to acquire confidence?
A: Buy 3 or 4 more clients by offering to do it for $6k or all the way
down to free (emailing your list of 300 names - 4 beta testers needed),
1 every 1 or 2 months, or until the time the confidence issues are
addressed - using offshore resources to make it cost effective (1/3
cost)

1- more implementations to gauge platform quality - developer / hosting
/ integration feedback

2- more clients to nail down required feature set

3- more clients to focus level of investment needed

==Questions==
What can you add?

What other things can we do?

What are my other options?

Why buy digital posters clients when I could buy a long list op
customers?

I plan to keep alex to prep server boxes to ship

Over these clients maxi / dragos / adrian can be trained

Ideas - can you Trust your mother

Moncia, Daniel / Dallae - here's my thinking.

Idea - can youTrust your mother

Can you can tell her
What you really think of me
Your husband

Can she abandon you for choosing me as your husband
Not more then you can abandon her

Will she always be your mother no matter what you do?
Will you always be her daughter no matter what you do

Do you feel any guil for ignoring her warning?
Are you ready to ask her to forgive you?

Does your mother knows something worth knowing?

Ask for her advice
Listen and take to heart what she has to say

Ask your mother what your grand-mother told her about your father.

Did your mother listen to your grand-mother?

Ask your mother what she told your grand-mother about your father.

What couldn't she tell your grand-mother?

What did your mother want to ask your grand-mother but never had enough
courage to ask?

Black horse dream

A Black horse came to me in my dream
I had two companions on horseback as well

I rode bare back
Over hills
on the plains
The wide way

At first I showed my companions
How to ride while the horses walked
And then we cantered
And then I rode at full gallop

No feeling so joyful
Se free
So plain

I love that black horse

When I awoke
I thought I might see my horse again
Googling for horse riding vancouver
I found horses
But not mine

Thoughts crash, words fail

Thoughts crash, words fail to explain
Simple mysteries of frustation's expectations

Temperature rises
Pressure builds with out end
Pushing
Breaking
Cracking
Alarm bells go off
Heart pounding
Thorat is dry
I just want to blow everything up

Kaboom!

Walk
Swing my arms back and forth
Breathe
Join left and right hemispheres together

The mystery of the software salesperson

Once upon a time, I had a software company that need customers

So I looked and looked and I hired a guy to sell software. He worked in
toronto and found lots of leads. But he wasn't used to deal with RFPs
and failed.

So I was depressed I had failed and decided I would never hire a
salesperson again.

But along can I came a guy that could sell anything over the phone. He
was always able to find himself work, but the people he hired for me
couldn't close like he could so they failed.

So I was depressed I had failed and decided I would never hire a
salesperson again.

But then a terrible thing happened. Our biggest customer asked for a
written RFP and I knew that though I try my best and learn a lot I
couldn't win because they had selected a winner already.

So I did my best - which wasn't that good and lost. And without that
contract I was going to be out a job. And I vowed I would win by finding
someone who could.

And I did. I remembered a guy who done a good writing a business plan. I
didn't get the deal but the plan was good.

I didn't get the deal but it was good. So not good enough.

So he is hired, through no fault of my own.

And here is now the troulbes I bring before you:
- an increase in 3 x of his salary
- not commission
- flexible hours - not 8hrs x 5 days
- scaring them away with big numbers

Be here with me

Come be here with me
Here where luxuries are nothing
Luxuries are to the worm
What works is to the hook
The hypnotism so complete
The spell so great
The work so hard
Doublethink so perfect
Cyborg already
Virtual human already
How can we feed everyone?
Synthetic phylums
Make your own passport
Do you hate tyranny and oppression?
Vote for democracy with your eyes
Vote with your ears
Vote with your feet
We can help other
And free ourselves
We know we are only as free as the disappeared
We know we are only as satisfied as the starving
We know we are only as well as the sick
We know we are only as safe as those at war
Take courage
We can do it again
Its why we are here
Its what are hearts pump for
Its what makes us breathe in and out
These millions of years
That we first came to this rock
Showered by the universe with light and water and air and organic
compounds
And our ancestors gave us their lives
May I be crushed and returned to dust in love as now as forever
Star after star
Galaxy after galaxy
Universe after universe
For ever and ever
Time without end

It goes likes - something like this - something just like this

I put an ad in craigslist
I need people to read my poems while I videotape them
I need people to write my poems while I videotape them
I need people to speak my poems while I videotape them

I need people to videotape me while I videotape them
I need people to videotape me reading my poems
I need people to videotape me writing my poems
I need people to videotape me speaking my poems

I need to edit the poems on top of the videos

I need to submit the videos to film festivals

It it is so simple

You don't live here - but imagine you did

Do be an effective story teller I have to say to myself:
You don't live here - but imagine you did

Why?
Why live else where?
Is it better?
Is this place bad?

Or are the idea so good they need to be preserved forever?

I want to be entertained
Or distracted
Or discharged

Already centered and whole people
Are complete unto themselves
And are fountains of endless energy
That is not blocked as it is in me
Because my irrational requirements are not
Met
And so I need a story
Must tell a story

You are chosen

Remember you are chosen
I choose you
When I wake up
I could be anything
But I chose you

I could be anything
A bank robber, a killer, a thief
But I go to work
I could be anything that doesn't break any rules

I could go to work anyway I want
I could steal a car, or hijack a bus
But I don't

But I don't want to be this guy
Not so much anymore

I could be anyone, anything
But this guy I am now
Not him
I don't like him

What's to like?
I mean really, really like?
Is the guy I am now sweet?
Or kind?
Or compassionate?
Is he a good listener?
Or a good writer?
Or handsome?
Is he gracious?
Or good a making things?
Does he make other people laugh or feel good?

No.
Not really.

I am not even that good at telling the truth.

So I could make a fact list
I know this things that would make a difference
That I don't do
And I ignore

Could these be the cuts that are killing me?

I can see the irrational
the urge
The impulse
That first big bang
That called me into existance
Billions and billions and billions of years ago

The cuts
The subconscious list of things I know I could do but don't do that I
should do but don't

Like stop eating meat
Like work less
Like sing more
Like breathe deeper
Like smile all the time
Like give thanks for every moment
Like love and be loved
Like loving unconditionally without being loved in return
Like eating until full
Like doing work that feeds my soul
Like writing artist grant proposals for beg borrow buy
And going to sleep before 2am

In front of myself I stand behind pulling and pushing

In front of myself I stand behind pulling and pushing

A paladdin?
A templar
I see myself
Geeky as ever
Clogs, shorts, dress shirt, phone on left hip, oqo on the right
I am standing in front of burning city
A flaming sword in my left hand
Sworn to poverty
Protecting the pilgrims on their to the holy land

I can hear the songs the bands are playing
I am so glad you are in the world
Roxanne
Everybody wants to rule world
And the walls came tumbling down (joshua fit the battle)

Folding space and time
I see the
Male and female
Egg and sperm
Wave and particle
Electron and proton
Universe and life

I have 30 seconds
In those 30 seconds
Horror
Fear
Passion
Death
Reconciliation
Salvation
Punishment
Betrayal
And all the deadly sins
Before the end of the world

Above all singing, playing and dancing
I got to see the sun
I got to know you
And know my mother and my father
And to know my son and my daughter
And to know all my senses
I built a company
I built a house
I buried my father
And committed every sin
Forgive me Abba

So I met you - 4 syllables

The emptyness.
The fullness.

Your naked body, my naked body, lying on the tile floor for the security
cameras to see. The psilocybin whiskey and cigarettes we'd bought from
the vending machine are on your breathe as you exhale.

Inhale. Your chest rises and falls.

I am both bitter and content. 4 million years of evolution for this?

Helpless to the fire burning inside me to plant my flower inside you.

I don't like to feel used - whether its good for me or my species or

Rumplestiltskin moderne v4

Once upon a time, maybe 50 years in the future, a beautiful girl named
ariadne lived with her father, the fish mealer, in an underwater city.

Before ariadne had been born, an old fortune teller had knocked on the
door of her mother and father's sleep pod begging to read fortunes for a
place to stay. She read her cards and had told ariadne's mother that she
would have daughter. She gave her mother an precious wood pendant on a
string necklace and said she would return one day with its pair.

Her mother got sick and died during the war of independance. The
torpedoes that hit broke buildings and made lots of people sick and
poisoned the air and water. Many people died, but not her or her
father.

When ariadne was 8 yrs old, A young man came holding the pair of the
wooden necklace, to ask to be an apprentice. A relative of the old lady,
the boy came to work making fish meal to feed his family. Everyday he
taught her how to sing, dance, play music. So as she worked making fish
meal she sang and dance, and put her heart into grinding her fish that
made her everyday more beautiful.

Slowly her fish meal became famous for being so evenly ground, so finely
ground, and so pure that one day the city's owner heard about it.

A few things you should know about kings that people rarely tell you. A
kings job is fighting and killing and doing whatever it takes to protect
his kingdom from being taken by other kings, and at the same time trying
take kingdoms away from other kings. All this fighting and killing is
terribly expensive and so the king is always looking for gold to pay for
fighting.

One thing you should know about this king was that his name was othello,
and yes you guessed it, his lieutenants name was iago. But king othello
was unmarried and when he was fighting or raising money to fight, he was
looking for women worthy of his droit de seigneur.

So when the miller heard the king was interested in the famous flower
flour, he became afraid that his daughter would refuse the king, and the
king would have her jailed or killed.

Knowing the kings greed for gold might distract him his daughters.

Rumplestiltskin moderne v3

Once upon a time, maybe 25 years in the future, a beautiful girl named
ariadne lived with her father in an abandoned apartment building they
had converted into a windmill.

Before she had been born, an old fortune teller had knocked on the door
begging to read fortunes. She read her cards and had told her mother
that she would have daughter. She gave her mother an ordinary wood
pendant on a string necklace and she would return one day with its
pair.

Her mother got sick and died during the war of oil and water. The bombs
that fell broke buildings, tore up road and made lots of people sick and
poisoned the air and water. Many people died, but not her or her
father.

A boy came holding the pair of the wooden necklace. A relative of the
old lady, the boy came to work in the mill to feed his family. Everyday
he taught her how to sing, dance, play music and tell stories. So as she
worked in the mill she sang and dance, and put her heart into grinding
her wheat that made her everyday more beautiful.

Slowly her flour became famous for so evenly ground, so pure, and so
finely ground that one day the king heard about it.

Quote to say to those Italian World Cup Winners from True Romance by Quentin Taratino

CLIFF
You know I read a lot. Especially things that have to do with history.
I find
that shit fascinating. In fact, I don’t know if you know this or not,
Sicilians
were spawned by niggers.

All the men stop what they were doing and look at Cliff, except for
Tooth-pic
Vic who doesn’t speak English and so isn’t insulted. Coccotti
can’t believe what
he’s hearing.

COCCOTTI
Come again?

CLIFF
It’s a fact. Sicilians have nigger blood pumpin’ through their
hearts. If you
don’t believe me, look it up. You see, hundreds and hundreds of years
ago
the Moors conquered Sicily. And Moors are niggers. Way back then,
Sicilians were like the wops in northern Italy. Blond hair, blue eyes.
But,
once the Moors moved in there, they changed the whole country. They did
so much fuckin’ with the Sicilian women, they changed the blood-line
for
ever, from blond hair and blue eyes to black hair and dark skin. I find
it
absolutely amazing to think that to this day, hundreds of years later,
Sicilians still carry that nigger gene. I’m just quotin’ history.
It’s a fact. It’s
written. Your ancestors were niggers. Your great, great, great, great,
great-
grandmother was fucked by a nigger, and had a half-nigger kid. That is
a
fact. Now tell me, am I lyin’?

Coccotti looks at him for a moment then jumps up, whips out an
automatic,
grabs hold of Cliff’s hair, puts the barrel to his temple, and pumps
three bullets
through Cliff’s head.

ariadne lived with her father in an abandoned apartment building they
had converted into a windmill.

Before she had been born, a jehovah's witness had knocked on the door
and had told her mother that she would have daughter. She gave her
mother an ordinary gold pendant necklace and she would return one day
with its pair.

Her mother got sick and died during the war of oil and watee. The bombs
that fell made lots of people sick. Many people died, but not her or her
father.

A sufi boy, a relative of the jehovah's witnesses family, that had time,
came to the girl and her father and recommended they build a mill.

After building the mill, the boy came to work in the mill to feed his
family. Everyday he taught her how to sing, dance, play music and tell
stories.

As she worked in the mill she sang and dance, and loved her work.

Slowly her flower flour became famous till one day the king heard about
it.

Civic issues - golden rules

Common sense - do unto others

Noise - its noisy enough - lets not let cars and bikes have exhausts
that are too noisy

Civic fines - should be self financing - hire more judges or judge-lite
for justice-lite - fines should be expensive - based on income - speedy
tickets, etc

Innocent until proven guilty - empower citizens with mobile phones with
video, audio and stills to submit evidence. Once enough violations have
been recorded it will fined after evidence is reviewed by legal
secretary. It is a public inbox. Anyone can put something in. Anyone can
see the status and number of things in the inbox. But the contents are
private

Health - medical care should be delivered by triage. Expert schedulers
tried to diagnose not cure. Pharmacists and nurse practiotioners that
can prescribe

Health - dental care - dental nurses performing routine jobs - like
filings etc.

A thousand roads to tomorrow

There are many roads the romans built still standing. Roads they built
for quickly moving armies - roads let them multiplex armies. They could
use the same army multiple times - and have a bigger one than many
fragmented ones.

The germans used railways to move armies to different fronts.

The americans use airplanes and air craft carriers.

But are they american any more?

What could they be if not american?

Capitalists.

And me?

Would endless, vast amounts of money, that I earned playing by the
rules, that my money helped change, that my parents, and my parents
parents worked to acquire, would any of that change me?

Enough kingdom of loathing

Enough kingdom of loathing
I think I have had
But everyday I sit down to play more
Just 10 minutes I say
But its 90 minutes before I move
Glued to my chair
Like a rock
A tree
A lichen

The illusion of doing something
I can't do mail - I don't have fast filemaker
(Move to fm8 or always on term srerver)
I can't do ebay - I don't sell anything - nothing to check
I wish I could check orders

Oh and losing 14k is too much

The future of the Apple //e = Daleks?

It all starts with killing people.

I read some where that the military used to establish base technology
that consumers used, so vast was their funding, but now, given the size
of consumer spending, the military is working on weaponizing consumer
systems.

Who doesn't know the base internet systems were created by DARPA to
survive an nuclear attack? That work has provided me with basis for my
livelihood - my applications all live on that infrastructure.

So what application is DARPA building today (that could potentially
create the infrastructure my children will profit from)?

Before I get to that, I wondered what will I need to buy my kids that
will have impact on them, that my parents buying me (and then making me
pay for) an Apple //e? What is the next big thing?

The answer is robotics, according to info released at this week at the
pittsburgh robobusiness conference and exposition.

What does the next big thing look like? Stanford recently won the
autonomous vehicle challenge with their VW Toureg. Now weaponize it. By
2015 1/3 of ground systems have to be unmanned. We need to realize we
will have fewer ground troops and less ability to send home body bags -
so we need more robots to assist spreading the few troops we have over
the whole planet.

Imagine one integrated giant robot soldier that is everywhere all the
time. Its eyes are satellites. Its fingers are iRobot packbots. Its legs
are Stanford Touregs. Its hands are UAVs that can throw stones.

This giant robot soldier can maintained multiple simultaneous fronts.
The military can keep the giant in Iraq forever - to test and perfect
it.

I saw disney's nee pixar's the incredibles. In real life the bad guys
win - and the superman killing robot machine is being built or its
prototype is already built and mr incredible will not stop it.

So I will buy my kids a robotics construction set so they can be super
too - which is Syndrome's goal.

What will the kids create? The terminator. It won't be an android - but
it will be a terminator nonetheless. Al Qaeda and the Taliban are
perfect for testing its effectiveness. Against such an enemy - IEDs,
planes as missiles - what parent wouldn't approve the terminator?

The problem with terminator is once - or now - that he (it) is built -
now that fire has been stolen from the gods - now that the apple from
the tree of knowledge of good and evil has been eaten - now that
pandoras box is open - now that frankensteins monster lives - or fritz
langs metropolis's robot live - how are we going kill them when we have
to face them?

Build in a 7 year itch and when they hunt us down tell them a star that
burns twice as bright burns half as long?
Blot out the sun to shut down their ability to generate electricity?
Mutate to breed mr incredibles or neos?
Clone and enhance to make aeon fluxs?
Or build better dumb hardware and live like tank girl.
Or breed faster and send more suicide bombers.
Or hack captured units.
Or build counter units.
Or build a virus.

All roads etc etc etc.

Life - some life - will adapt.

You don't know kaiser soze

Verbal kint says the greatest trick the devil ever did was making the
world believe he doesn't exist.

What does LA confidential have to do with anything? Or with Rampart LAPD
officers doing what other officers have done before?

Fat cops stealing apples from kids.

I don't give a fuck.

What's that supposed to mean?

Othello: our mission is clear hold baghdad, and bring democracy to iraq
- just like the president asked.

Do I need to tell you any of this?

Do I need to help you imagine what you would do if you were in this
position?

Which position?

The Saudi royal family? Can His Highness play the part of the Duke?

George Bush? Can he play Othello?

Osama bin Laden? Can he play Iago?

And Desdemona? Halliburton? Or Iraq? Or Tony Blair?

But I don't have the womb to bear the telling to term.

Since when hasn't the lure of being a government official been looting
and pillaging?

Since the tea party?

Does the story follow?

Where does the myth break down?

The bay of pigs? Martin luther king?

For me it was the gulf of tonkin.

You can pick any point - but I was born here because of that.

When my dad got drafted he didn't know that he been born to kill - and
that he could get his own.

He wasn't a natural born killer looking to get paid for the chance to
rape and kill and steal.

Not fit to serve his country. Dulce est decorum est pro patria mori.
Stupid shit.

I think my grandpa may have said that - except the latin.

My grandpa looked good in uniform. He died weighing almost what he
weighed as teenager when he wore his navy uniform.

To what point the rambling?

I am self aware enough of my psychosis and have enough compassion - that
I can't steal the baby's candy.

Yet I am not oblivious enough to be content to suck my thumb, or follow
sports, decorate my house, tone my body or save the whales.

Uh huh.

I can see the Yu Baba making the illusions so the parents stay thinking
they are pigs - and I too easily settle into the illusion as well.

I can make illusions to too free them - but the point is to break the
illusions in the first place.

What illusion is that?

The illusion that we have been cheated out of our trillion year old
birth right.

What birth right?

What a difference a day makes v2

To reduce stress I have asked bernie at casa del caffe to blend 3/4
decaf with 1/4 espresso. I know I will be calmer.

In addition, no major fires - yet. The cancer will kill me slowly - but
I have some hope that jim pick, ihor, alex and adrian combined will have
some positive effect on hosting.

With the ability to put out fires taken care of - I need a reliable way
to create accounts. I need to write the order up for adrian or who ever
to execute.

Alex? Or ricky.

also thinking about the final solution to the worlds problem. Malthus
has not been defeated. Too many babies are ultimately responsible. How
the very old and rich fit in I am not sure.

I still belive that the root of all evil is the production of luxury
products.

20% of the population consuming 80% of the resources - how is that a
population problem? Even in Malthus' time equations were likely similar
- with soldiers stallions eating more than the masses of the poor.

However when downsizing a company to increase profitability - it is
always better to layoff 6000 staff than 1 ot 2 vice presidents.

Which brings me to comments made in 2003 by john kenneth galbraith in a
sept/oct interview in the ivey business journal - and comments made in
2006 by warren buffet at the annual berkshire hathaway shareholders
meeting. The comments are critical of the rise professional manager.
These comments echo "no taxation without representation," in that they
are bureaucrats that set their own pay - and have taken over the
machine. (Brought to me by bill who I am not sure saw the irony in
handing me this article - as he has set his salary)

Galbraith wrote his book pre-enron - but revised it.

and what is to blame?
is the stock market a cancer demanding ever increasing resources to
satisfy like a mystery religion and its blood sacrifice of innocents?

Hyperbole.

Huge organisms have huge impacts on their imapacts. Coke and unions,
elephants and farms. There is no doubt. But due to their size, huge
energy inputs are required to sustain them, making them more susceptible
to environment change than smaller organisms.

So we created frankenstein's monsters to do the heavy lifting for us -
creating identical burger joints around the world so we can eat what we
want wherever we want too.

However their immense power comes with immense cost - they are severly
constrained to their tight environmental niche.

Maybe they are djinni that can't be put back in their bottles. We are
addicted far to much to the electronic prong at the base of our skulls.

I know where the managers fit into the equation - and how the stock
markets are the bottle - and how stock markets are the road to
prosperity that leads to destruction.

All roads lead to destruction.
All destruction leads to new roads.
The trick is to do the building and destroying yourself faster than your
competitors.

So stock markets allowed owners to manage and distribute the risk of
ships, insurance and railways. You accept this much risk for this much
potential reward. No responsibility is attached to the investor - we
will leave that in the corporation - limit our liability - and hire
managers to sweep that away.

But the liability doesn't get swept away - and the managers stuck with
liabilities the owners deny owning hide them as the system requires them
to in order to meet compensation targets agreed to by owners. I raise
stock price to x you pay me y. You don't care how much liabilities I
create in the company because they cost you nothing.

And the managers fit because as an owner I need a broker to sell my
assets. The managers really exist to facilitate the trading of stocks
and to guarantee their value. Managers that fail to preserve value are
replaced. Managers that preserve and increased value are rewarded
because they allow me to sell my asset. Because they are independant
prospects feel falsely confident in the values. Without the manager
there is no illusion of ownership without work - and so professional
managers are required if owners are to retire - which they have.
Consider the oxymoron - shareholder activist. It is inconcievable that
an owner would NOT want to be active. But being destroys the illusion of
the virgin production of wealth - which the stock markets promotes.
Automagically double your money is 7 years!

So how is the stock manager the all powerful corporate capitlism's
djinni bottle? Managers are bound by quarter by quarter performance.
They have all the power in world - as long as they met or beat the
analysts forecasts.

How does it all add up to destruction?
There are no owners.
Because it divides ownership up into smaller and smaller units - many
are essentially meaningless.
So other companies with owners that own something come along - the
ownerless companies can get eaten.

All burned up - the twisted wreckage of dream

11pm need some time on my own
Follow up on some dreams
Why am I so pressed for time?
What is wrong with my life > job?
Answer - my computer isn't small enough.
My hiptop is good - but email has no memory.
The applications aren't good enough.
In short - the knife is too dull - the cook is fine.
But is that ever true?
Visited www.handtops.com - and www.dynamism.com. Read www.pcmag.com
reviews. I don't want japan only hardware or more than $2k prices. And I
want backlit keyboard like the hiptop and my 17" powerbook. So far the
sony vaio vgn ux 180 for $1799, shipping mid july fits the bill. Readily
available. 3rd generation unit. Known brand. Standard parts. Now wait
for refurb units? Also need to see how it can be used as a cell phone -
not voip.
Will it really help me be more productive or will I just be able to
waste more cycles faster.
Also can I hold the sony vaio vgn ux 180 in front of me while I am lying
down?

Still need the battery powered wireless bluetooth / wireless vga /
wireless usb kvm. I should patent it and go to taiwan and find someone
to make it. Draw it. Patent it - or design it. And then mail it to lots
of places. But I don't know if it can be patented. But I can call the
ubc patent librarian or the other patent helper.

Next.

At the same time playing www.kingdomofloathing.com. My cogagni character
completed the pagoda quest following the spoiler at
kol.coldfront.net/thekolwiki/. I spawn multiple kolmafia v8.0 clients
now, and run all my multis at the same time - more or less. It takes
some time figuring what they need or what they should do.

I don't know why. Because its hard. Because I want to collect the things
in the game. Because I want to see what happens. Because I want to go
certain places. Because money can't buy everything. Or because $10 can't
buy everything. Because I like running a machine that makes things even
if they are virtual things. Because there's a clear path to follow to
win - and I want the feeling of winning at something even if it is
artifical especially because figuring out how to win at Neo Code is so
hard or so tedious (is that the right word to mean requires patience?).

Finally I remember the joy of renting the jet ski at harrison hot
springs, and want to know how much they cost to buy used. The thrill of
controlling so much power was exhilirating. The memory of holding on
despite aching muscles and twisting the jet ski back on itself are so
exciting I want to repeat them. Vancouver.craigslist.org has them for
sale from $2900 including trailers for 10 year old units in good
condition - and they are new from $6900.

However I read about the many deaths associated with them due to their
lack braking and lack of turning when there is no throttle. This becomes
a problem when people are driving too fast and too close to each other
and can't steer out of a collision causing death. This is a problem of
allowing the units to be rented without sufficient education testing.
There is no test procedure to insure renters a qualified to operate the
lethal jet ski.

I also looked at selling the ibm netfinity servers on ebay - and review
the ebay analysis tools and hot prodcut reports from andale and others.
I posted them to my del.icio.us account. One of the companies is from
victoria, and they have a free tool for buyers to compare current
product prices to historical averages. These tools would be good to see
if sleeping socks, candles, baby clothes are a hot product. These
reports are subscriptions for $25/month. Or perhaps I can see about
sourcing these from korea.

What I want is less stress from Neo Code. And that means less
variability, more homogeneaity. This means having a products and
services list and sticking to it because providing support for
everything isn't working.

Products:

Hosting - pain is risk management

Hosting - filemaker 7 or 8 - pain is web stats > commercial app or
opensource web config
Ex. Ahi

Hosting - colocation - pain is backup and bandwidth accounting > get
cacti or use web stats which reads ftp and email - as above
Ex. Transparen

Hosting - publish button - pain is setup / migration
Ex. Bsda

Hosting - ecommerce - pain is setup / uptime
Ex. Imprint

Services

Site moves - pain is order detail confirmation and staff to implement
Ex. Bsda

Software install - pain is scheduling and staff to implement
Ex. Mac appraisal

Custom software development - pain is client and staff management
Ex. Slfa & portables

Actually - pain is HR.

I can solve these by outsourcing the pain.

Redundant Firewall - use a product with support and install etc. How
much is allstream firewall?

Or hosted exchange email?

But how do I get redundancy - now dependancy is moved from internal
staff to outside supplier.

Move to utilities.

Hosted email - exchange.
Hosted backups - ?.
Hosted firewall - allstream or upstream.
Hosted spam - mxlogic.
Hosted boxes - 2 providers - or godaddy?

Move the stuff to outside supplier that I can - and just do the stuff I
have to do.

Take provider sla and add margin to it.
